Make peace and divide....
Greece
Thrace (North East region of Greece)
A cotton field
Thrace from the very ancient years-3rd to 2nd millenium BC- was one of the richest and most productive regions of Greek territory and because of that a continuously claimed land between anticipating forces.Athenians, Macedonian dynasties, Romans and eventually Ottomans among the strongest. After the Greek Independance War(1821-1828) against the Ottoman Empire and the declaration of Greece as a free state,Thrace remained as a region of conflict between Greece and Turkie till the Lozane Treaty(1923) that the European forces divided Thrace in West(to Greece) and East(to Turkie) with the river Evros in between as a border....
West Thrace remains, curently, a very productive regions of modern Greece with cotton one of the main products.(photo).

Magnifica ripresa, grande atmosfera. L'unione tra l'aspro paesaggio e il duro lavoro dei campi è qualcosa di sacro.Un caro saluto,
Carlo
