The solemn procession to the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi is part of the "Fiestas de Santa Fe" in New Mexico.
During the second week of September the people celebrate the peaceful reoccupation of their city by the Spanish in 1692. Its the oldest continual celebration in the United States.
