Faces of the prejudice #01

In his book The Nature of the Prejudice, Gordon W. Allport explains five types of behavior urged by the prejudice. Who has prejudices usually presents an or more of those types of behavior.

1 - Negative comments. To speak in a depreciative way on the group which the person doesn`t like.

2 - Escape. To detest to be in the presence of somebody of that group.

3 - Discrimination. To exclude members of the disliked group of certain job types, home or social privileges.

4 - Physical aggression. To participate in the violence whose objective is to intimidate the people that he starts to hate.

5 - Extermination. To participate in lynchings, massacres or extermination programs.
