Great colors - beautiful shot. Makes me want to brave the cold to try and capture these amazing lights.

I'm doing photographs of the nothern lights as well so I know that it's mainly luck to get captured those beautiful rays!

Thank you very much for your nice comments! Yes thats northern light, I can see the light a couple of times every year. This was the first time since i started with photography.

Peter this is awsome and very well taken.. I have only every seen this once in Ireland it was a very cold clear night and it appeared.. in saying that it is very rare and i was lucky to see it.. as we are not close enought to the Northpole.. wonderful shot Peter thanks for sharing it with us all.. just for Jaime its like a rainbow that appears at night and it happens if you live up close to the north pole.. I would suggest that you google the Aurora borealis.. you will know then
