Shot by the San Gabriel River - the basset hound has one blue eye and one brown eye - a condition called Heterochromia iridum. He is in good company with David Bowie, Christopher Walken and Kiefer Sutherland :)

:) Yes, most of my younger life I used to sing it as "A dog named blue" also. Now, after publishing this image, I am told by someone that the original lyrics are really "A Dog Named Boo" - lol

: )))))))) you're title started an earworm in my head – even before i clicked! i'm now humming "me and you and a dog named – blue!" ; ))) love how the two kindred souls here give the camera an almost identical look: huge round eyes, and one "smile" the spitting image of the other ; )) the basset's surprised look – so much tenderness and attention! – is just priceless! kind regards, sabine.
