Why do i photograph? Because it helps me think about things, what we are, what we do or even what we don't do!
My name is Roland W. Lüthi, born in Bern in Switzerland, lived for more than 30 years in the Netherlands and now settling in Germany.
Photography is an art of observation, it's all about first finding and then searching for things that are interesting even in ordinary places. It has nothing to do with the things we see but everything with the way we see them. Or like Ernst Haas once said: “There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are.”
