When Mohammed Walked to Pray
An old fragile man walks step by step up an a narrow sand stone road. set in a village to small to recall.Step by step,puff by puff he borrowed from the air around him, as if it was his living faith about him handing him the insensitive to go on to fore fill to reach his door carved in the face of the cliff, walled by brown bricks and sand bags and splotches of paint. With his body bent over his bus eyes met mine. It was if I could see time past. Just maybe he has traveled back in time himself. At the end he can enter, sit for a moment and enjoy mint tea, then chant, place his mat down in the throat of his hallway and feel the edge of warm light reach his face, then begin to pray.
