The handy camera is good for video, not for photo :)

The main problem is: for the nature photography (wide views) you need high f-number. High f-number ensures sharpnes in whole depth of the photo. Low f-number makes sharpnes only on short length. (I have the mathematical formulas fot the counting this values)
With lower f-number you can have sharpnes on detail of the face and all behind of the face will be blured.

The handy cameras need a lot of light and thats why it opens aperture (low f-number) and you have unsharped picture(like this is)... camera was able to focus the light on the sky, but the ships are blured a lot.

Do you have a photo camera? With ability to control aperture, and time? Try to make photo with this camera.

If you want to present any photos, you have tu make first thing: Dont look at your photos as their author, but like independent viewer. I know, it is not so easy, but try it.

Forgot the emotions you had on the place the photo was made. Forgot atmosphere, just look at photo...

Still is nice? Still is like good photos you know from magazines or from websites? In case yes, let put it on the web too.

Just piece of advice. Dont be sad with my comment. Nobody started like god. Nobody is perfect and there is nobody who know everythings. Neither me, neither Mr. president, neither mom. BUT!!! The Mom is absolutely right allways!!! :)
