The Old Mill

Canon EOS 5, 90mm, 1/60s, slide scan from Kodak Elite Chrome

Took the picture in the Lesach Valley, where some of the old mills are still in working order!

Hi Rob, absolutely! In fact, I tried to capture the movement of the water as well as the movement of the wheel, to make the pic as vivid as possible without exaggerating the effect. Your comment and the comments of Harald, Anwer and Dietrich show me, that it worked! Thank´s a lot for that!
    Greetings Kay

Its taken me a while to try to decide what is so attractive about this picture. Its basically the sense of movement in the shot. Shots like this so often look like an attempt to capture just one particular moment in time. This one appears to capture the continuous motion of the water wheel - almost like seeing a still shot from a movie.

    Hope that made sense.
