The mystery of the sea

A seven year old girl looks out to sea at Arnside in the North West of England, as the sun sets low on the horizon, and listens to the sound of a siren that abruptly cuts through the onset of night, a warning sound that alerts all who are close of the incoming tide - a tide that can rise 6 metres in less than an hour. My daughter Rachel is the girl. Image adjusted in Photoshop, levels and curves.

I would have liked to see a liitle more of the lady but this is a fantastic picture !!!

....very, very well done.....
i like the lightning and the cut on this picture.....
maybe you have to eliminate the reflection on the shoe of ur daughter, thats just a very little critical point....
nothing at all, its a brilliant capture

After I was stirring a rather long time on it i was reading the lines you wrote - really nice words!
It's a well done picture also because you have deepened the colours. Really beautiful!!!

wow ! paul. love this photo, the colours are spectacular, and the sillouette of your daughter just makes the beautiful mood of this photograph.
