Portrait of The Cast System 2015
While shooting two untouchables in an frontier town, I began to see their veil lower, and rise between themselves and one man of higher class that had little tie to even be involved in sitting next to an lower class person. The body language of bother becomes clear and cast a light on a way of life still going on in 2015.
Had it not been that I was photographing her and had asked him to sit next to her he would not have. In his mind I am a higher class than he is. He simply obeyed, but would not move ver and she moved to the other end of the bench and turned away from him. She is not allowed to look upon a man of a higher class.

oh glenn! this is also like apartheidI can identify with this moment !!
Still today even in the most "civilised " countries it goes on .. Most people are not able to see in the other his brother ..or the one life that we have and share together
which is not even ours
Imagine if god would think the same ?!!!!
Terrible this world of divisions

The ways of some people are very trange to us... and when all is said and done we are all just flesh and blood and come into this world in the same way.... How we leaave it is another matter.A superb look on life Glenn.

Beautiful capture, love the colors; a conditioned mind in a highly spiritual nation, a contradiction...we have our own too, anyway, lovely shot indeed!!Adele D. Oliver 28. November 2015, 22:09
sadly this age-old system has not changed over the years ... and we have discrimination against colour, religion, gender in our world ... a story telling strong image !!!weekend greetings,

The caste system is so ingrained into their lives as is prejudice in most of the world. Nice documentation of the statuses we have placed on each other.Best Regards,
