I have always been intrigued by the sense of tension invoked by the dark shadows, solitary figures of the night and the contrasts created from street lighting. Classic Film Noir with all its aesthetic and thematic values has always been an inspiration for me with all its plots, characters and settings. Paris in the evening or Paris at night with all its dramatic light, its romantic, intimate streets is one of my favorite places to disconnect and clear my head and think with real clarity or sometimes imagine a drama of no consequence. Late into the night and beyond into the early hours can be refreshing and intoxicating in equal measure.
