low light doe sight
Misty morning, hint of autumn in the air ... I was as surprised as she was! Very low light, so I was concerned about shutter speed: ISO 800 (digital, so I can handle that) 200mm lens, tripod, cable shutter release. I chose aperture of 2.8, so the deer is in focus, but nothing else! (I should have liked the tree to be in focus, I think). Maybe I should have used a smaller aperture and accepted a slower shutter speed? Comments or suggestions are very welcome.

guess you took the right decisions here Mark, using slower speed might have unsharpened the deer if she slightly moved. you got out maximum with what was available at that instant moment .....great work !!perhaps a larger zoom on your X-maslist ???
