Great shot Shaun. My only concern with it is the fact that the crop on the hair leaves me feeling uncomfortable... personal taste I suppose. I like the totally out of focus background, the model is the subject and the lighting, exposure and b&w conversion is excellent.
You are presenting an excellent portfolio of magnificent photos. All on a high level of composition and photo- technical realisation. The only thing e.g. here could be a discussion if a horizontal frame is the best. But this issue is far away from being critical and the discussion would be multi sided. Best regards Berthold
Hi Berthold. Thanks very much for your kind words! Yes, you're quite right, maybe the photo would have looked better with a horizontal frame but sometimes, rightly or wrongly, I like to give the subject a feeling of space within the frame. Regarding this particular photo, I should have used a slightly deeper depth of field to show that the background is in fact a beautiful river. As it is it's impossible to see! Best regards and thanks again, Shaun

Well arranged portrait, beautiful model, soft light, thats what I like. However, I am unhappy with the crop. Cutting off the hair and a centered position is not ideal.
