Mi Buenos Aires querido
Sentado al borde de una silla desfondada,
mareado, enfermo, casi vivo,
escribo versos previamente llorados
por la ciudad donde nací.
Hay que atraparlos, también aquí
nacieron hijos dulces míos
que entre tanto castigo te endulzan bellamente.
Hay que aprender a resistir.
Ni a irse ni a quedarse,
a resistir,
aunque es seguro
que habrá más penas y olvido.

Sitting on the edge of a chair Desfondada,
dizzy, sick and almost live
I write poems previously mourned
the city where I was born.
You have to catch them here too
My sweet children born
punishment that will sweeten the meantime beautifully.
We must learn to resist.
Not to leave or stay,
to resist
although it is certain
there will be more pain and oblivion.
