Breaking the silence

I've walked past this pond not far away from my house several times but never realised the photographic possibilities that are lying within this location. Especially the single branch standing against the small waves being created when the wind is blowing. I therefore decided to mount my ND1000 filter (10 stops) to get a slow shutter speed and create this beautiful contrast between the water being in motion and the branch breaking the silent mood of the calm water surface.
The final image was blended of 4 different exposures (10, 30, 60 and 120sec) via apply image in Photoshop. I furthermore boosted vibrance and saturation and set a hifh pass filter for the fields and trees.
