    Such a grand picture and such sadness in the aftermath.
    I have seen the effects after the Tsunami in Thailand.
    I was unable to photograph any of it, as it was a graveyard.

    Oh my goodness! I just realized that the imbedded picture is of the site of those beautiful homes. Not just the human lives - so much National history gone too.

    Karin, an utter travesty. I don't think people understand how bad it is and how many people are affected. Such a touching, beautiful picture of the Deep South - and the accompanying devastation. I know my home state of Michigan is taking in 30,000 families. The economy is so bad there as it is - I really fear for the aftermath. It's really just begun.

    This is a hauntingly beautiful image. Very well taken

    Unglaublich, was in der Region nun abgeht. Wer hätte gedacht, dass der Anstrich von Anstand und Zivilisation nur so sehr dünn war?

    Das Bild zeigt die Südstaaten so, wie man sie sich vorstellt, wenn man noch nicht da war...

    Ja Stefan, - Biloxi war genau im Centrum von Hurricane Katrina und hat das Allerschlimmste davon abbekommen :-(( - ein Grund, dieses Foto gerade jetzt zu posten. - Aufgenommen im December 2004.

    Wow, ist da nicht gerade der Hurricane durchgegangen? Waren wohl wirklich mal bessere Zeiten als Du das Foto gemacht hast. Tolle, sehr alte Bäume. Eben Südstaaten.
