Lingonberry picking at Ferryland in Newfoundland
Up on the top of a steep hill, squat bushes of Partridgeberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) also known as Lingonberries, are trapped in shallow rain water marshes, they are picked as cranberries are and used for preserves and jams. Tart to the taste, lovely rich red colour, full of antioxidants
