Hi John,
Thank you for the nice comment about the old oak tree. I only used a regular 35mm lens and my Canon AE-1 camera. I use my Canon mostly. I was laying flat on my back, shooting straight up to get this picture. I didn't do anything unusual.
Hi John,
thank you very much for your so kindly commnents. I prefer your BW pictures, I think You should keep doing that good photos.
Greetings

Hi john
thanks for your comments on "gate at the beacon" and "corfe castle". You are quite right the beacon is Ditchling beacon on the south downs very popular with walkers and cyclists, and Corfe castle from the gravyard is not one you usually see, I think it gives it a more sinister feel.
Regards, Dominic
Hi john
I have not used neutral desity filters either, My understanding is that they cut down the amount of light that passes through the lens, useful when there be a situation when there are high contrasts.
However my knowledge is limited so you may find this link useful: www.cs.mtu.edu/~shene/digicam/user-guide/filter/filter-ND.html
hope this works and is useful to you

Dominic
