My passion is portrait photography. I'm fascinated by people from all walks of life and I love to capture them in a way that tells a story. I want the viewer to stop and ask themselves questions about the person in the shot. "Who are they? What do they do? Where do they come from? What life experiences are mapped out in the lines of their face?" I try to achieve this whether in the studio or in the street; it doesn't matter. I try to impart that fascination through my images, which has led me to often use quite a bold style which has spread to other areas of my photography, where you can also occasionally get a glimpse of my sense of humour. See the 'advertisement shot' I took immediately after having returned home from having two teeth removed!
I am an extremely versatile photographer and have undertaken a varied number of shoots, ranging from glamour, fashion shows, family, high school proms, senior portraits, conferences (inc. the United Nations IHDP Open Meeting 2009), corporate, events, weddings, and press conferences.
After a 13 year career as an IT professional, I decided to take my photography to the next level and have used my extensive training experience to deliver customised photography and Adobe Photoshop training to various clients, including the UN Volunteers and the UN University, both in groups, in a corporate environment, as well as in a one-to-one setting.
I am a proud member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and The Royal Photographic Society, as well as being a Nikon Professional. I am also an accredited freelance press photographer, with current credentials.
I am based in Bonn, Germany and happy to travel.
