The Seller's Tale
A woman enjoys her cake in hand while displaying her forks and spoons. She is located in Palermo is a unique market where for a few hours the politza turn a blind eye to allow people to sell their goods. This is Ballarò. From rare birds to another person's junk, or something missing. Its a rough area, but within the time span euro exchange and food will be on their table.

"she stretched herself up on tiptoe, and peeped over the edge of the mushroom, and her eyes immediately met those of a large caterpillar, that was sitting on the top with its arms folded, quietly smoking a long hookah, and taking not the smallest notice of her or of anything else…"*i'm almost a little embarrassed to share my first thought, but all right, here it is: i'm looking at a contemporary palermo version of lewis carroll's iconic "hookah-smoking caterpillar", except this one here is a female and not hookah-smoking! but her pose, the hedonistic smile… it's him to a tee! him, the disney character, i mean! to be honest, his image just floated inconsistently through my brain – had to google and verify it. initially, i didn't remember what species it was, didn't know what the character was called. googled "alice in wonderland and water pipe", et voilà: the familiar spaced-out blue critter popped up. yep, him! then i found the quote and thought it fit the mood and situation so well! she even seems to be snacking on a magic mushroom… presently, she will open her eyes and address little alice: "whoo are you?" ; )) – – scary, how disney sometimes messes with our minds… greetings, sabine.
