The Living Forest (222) : Wild Boar
The Wild Boar is a mammal that likes to live in dense wet forests.
Its large head with a fur of stiff bristles and relatively short legs, gives the animal a bit of dangerous looking appearance.
Shot was made with a 850mm lens (500mm + 1,7x extender) out of the hunting cabin that can be seen in the picture below.

It took me almost 10 frozen fingers and 2 frozen feet :-)), but I got him or better her as it’s a sow (= female wild boar).
Location : Hertogenwald at Eupen (Belgium)
Dutch name : Everzwijn
German name : Wildschwein
Latin name : Sus scrofa

Eine exellente Aufnahme des Wildschweins. Extremscharf, in einem tollen Licht und in wunderbaren na-
türlichen Farben. Und frieren wird es ja wohl auch nicht.
