    This photo is suffering from a common aberration of digital cameras ...even the best
    do this... the shadow area of her face is too magenta . This creates artificially
    high contrast and makes the side of her face seem "washed out" , but by
    adjusting the color balance (add green and red , about 20 points each) you make
    the shadow area more like the highlight and reduce the apparent contrast .
    I tried this already and it makes a big improvement .
    I like this shot , by the way .
