Metro in Moonlight

Under a crescent moon, a Washington-bound Metro Yellow Line train of recent design
7000-series railcars departs Eisenhower Avenue station in Alexandria, Virginia.

With the exception of a couple of short tunnels, the line runs above ground on structures such is this one
through Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, before tunneling underground for the next three
stations. After departing Pentagon Station, the tracks will emerge onto a long bridge across the Potomac,
before going back underground in Washington.
