Martyr's day in Uganda
Hundred years ago the Bukanda-King of Uganda burned 21 of his subjects for falling under the spell of the "white mans" religion of christianity. Today the majority of Ugandans are christians. Once a year hundreds of believers do a pilgrimage to the shrine of the martyrs, touching the heavy wooden reliefs for blessing and luck.
