Bufferclass Passenger
I found this woman travelling, risking her life, when we were coming back to city from varsity. As the train was very crowdy, i liked roof of compartment.
I laid down on the roof and two of my friends kept my body steady and i take the shot.
This photo won a gold medal in 67th International Photographic Salon of Japan (Asahi Shimbun) in 2006.

Impressive, interesting environmental portrait.The softness in color are tensioned by the diagonal lines, and your character is inmerse in that atmosphere trying to survive...
