Athlone
Ein IC Dublin - Galway fährt über die Shannon bei Athlone. Diese Brücke war in 1850 gebaut, mit einem Öffnungsabschnitt für Schiffe, heute nicht benutzt.
Athlone hatte zwei Bahnhoffen: Great Southern and Western an der Ost und der Midland Great Western am West. Athlone Bahnhof heute ist eine neue Entwicklung des GSW, der MGW ist nicht benutzt.

@Tom: Thanks for the comment. Wasn't sure where to put this pic, the train is so small...I'm experimenting with narrow apertures currently to try and capture more blues. Might have overdone it here though...

Great pic, though train can barely be recognized.As to your EXIFs: Why f13 at only 1/200? f8 and 1/800 would´ve done better, or even 5,6 at 1/1000 !
Over f 11, unsharpness begins to increase again, for optical reasons inside the lens, though hardly at f13...
