Über mich

I am a student Photography at the Foto Academie Amsterdam and still learning. I started with photography somewhere in the early 70's. Picked it up again in the 80's and stepped into the digital area somewhere in 2001 starting with a Canon compact. Started my entrance with FOAC 01-2006 and it goes fast and furious and sometimes not funny, but I will keep up the good spirit and with the support of my wife and kids I'll manage, but the teachers have the last word. More to come and see when i am growing into the art of photography.

My gear at the moment :
Canon EOS 5D
EF 24-105mm f4.0L USM IS
EF 17-40 mm f4.0 L USM
EF 70-200mm f 2.8/ L USM IS
EF 50 mm f1.4 USM
580 EX dedicated flash
Elinchrom Style 400 FX Studio kit
Eizo Coloredge CG 210 Monitor
Epson Stylus Photo R2400 Printer

Thanks for your comment on "Girl in the crowd". The man's face is indeed it's soft spot, maybe I'll blur it down. It's a negative, however so outside the net this would not be an option.

    Yours,

    It,
Thanks for comments Erik. You are right about the sharpness. Due to my negligence ISO was set at 800.
Second factor might be distance ( subject was around 25 metres far from me).
The hand is cropped beacause it was partialy covered by somebody's head ( it was very crowdy at that parade), so , in order to get rid of the head .........
