The Living Forest (426) : Nectar paradise

Cow parsley with its delicate white flowers seems to be a popular meeting place for insects living in the forest.

In the middle, you can see a map butterfly. An unusual species.
It is the only (!) butterfly in Europe with strongly marked seasonal differences.
Its 2 annual broods look very different in colours and markings.

Left and right, you can see a red-brown longhorn beetle in search of nectar.
