Transparent wings , about 3 cm in length ....

"Green lacewing" is the name in English, "Gemeine Florfliege" is the German name and "groene gaasvlieg" is the name in the Netherlands.

Vera is right!! :-) In the winter they are more grey-brown and in the summer green! I like them so much!!!!

yes, i know there light green "version" well! always make sure to rescue them from, when they get lost in the summer and end up on the walls of my office – ethereal creatures… the poetic name "lacewing" suits them very well, i think. great capture of the tiny earthling – his long antennae look amazing and i like the shape of his delicate body. it reminds me of a slim X! greetings, sabine.

They change color after summer I guess...The green ones I know are just like little wood nymphs :-)) Very elegant insect..
