And, his wife cooking our meal outside on the big cooking stove...We had delicious , traditional food mostly prepared with kale , corn and corn flour..
The house looks untidy outside but everything was very clean and tidy inside at theirs and where we have stayed ..It is also a "must" to take our your shoes off and wear wool socks or slippers when you enter the house...:-))

You need to take your shoes off...

A very interesting image and story, Canan. It proves once again that "you can't judge a book by its cover". I just read some very nice words:

a house like a "collector's item" – everything seems to have it's place and make perfect sense, every storm added new shingles and planks to the roof, i'm sure, every cold winter and wet spring demanded new plaster, new rocks, and new bricks on the wall etc. a house that grew and expanded over the years turning into a much cared about home with a soul and aura of its own ; )). no doubt, it's immaculately clean inside – it's built to last, they depend upon it… a beautiful documentary shot, canan! the farmer's wife wrapped in her colorful kerchief looks just great against the patchwork of different natural materials – "picturesque" in the very sense of the word! hugs, sabine.
