about the foto :
a dark and rainy early morning picture
taken with my not great (but okay;-) 18-105mm nikon lens
(my 400mm would've been better)
at full zoom (through my opened-car-window free hand;-).
the ever moving and too-far-away coyote
and i would stop
and shoot ...
the dim ambient light required a
lens opening of 1/250sec
and a higher than desired iso of 200.
the foto file was rotated by about three degrees
and cropped to dog-size
but otherwise unaltered -
unlike the previous picture (see below)
with which i played around with
lighting and saturation etc ...
heartfelt thanks to all my fc freunde
for your clicks and kind comments -
and your great images i admire evey day -
please forgive me for not commenting on all of them -
i just don't have the time i used to ... ;-(
An admirable wildlife capture, Robert - he is a magnificent specimen and the details of his coat and alert eyes are quite sharp ... I like your natiral presentation !!
greetings from your southerly neighbour,
she looks busy, as though planning the day in her mind – first item on her to do list: pick up some roadkill to satisfy the hunger of her cubs. ; )) don't think too hard, coyote bitch, but be alert at all times, or else you might be turned into roadkill, too, in no time. hark! it's a truck in the distance. soon it'll come recklessly thundering down the road, not caring to brake for coyotes… ; ) greetings, sabine.
