from my series „at the museum“?? ; ))

there’s an epic battle going on between me and the blackbirds. they keep stealing apple slices from inside the bunny bar, so i set up a sign showing a well-behaved blackbird – „HERE you may eat. but BEAKS OFF the bunny bar!“ – and drop a few apple slices beside it. guess what? it works!!! well, at least for a few days it does. then they discover that even though there’s plenty of food by the sign, there’s still plenty more for desert in the bunny bar. a night of heavy rain finishes the sign off. i wring it out and crumple it up. the pulp is history. wish i could say that about the blackbirds, who still lie spread-eagled on my front lawn, hiccuping and recovering, from fits of twittery laughter.

 As has well worked Sabine and a rain over a picture - very fancy! And very fascinating story written with inescapable humour!! ))))))))
p.s. If it is good to look at a picture, it is possible to see a woman's face with a round nose ;-)

Recipe of a masterpiece:

Ingredients

front lawn: 1
bunny rabbit: 1
bunny bar: 1
apple slices: a few
blackbirds: uncountable

Actions

paint a sign showing a well-behaved blackbird
put it outside for a few days
let a heavy rain finish it off
remove it, spit on it, stamp your feet on it
shout obscenities (optional)
beat it into pulp
post it and relax to the sounds of applause and shouts of admiration
:))

;)))))))))))))))))))) I am laughing at the twittery laughter!!!!! I can see them now, reclining on the lawn with their big wings resting over their apple filled tummies having a good old chuckle together, killing time until you go back out and replenish the supplies!!!! I like the sign though, it looks like a blackbird who has naughtiness in mind which your garden blackbirds have!!

Du und der Regen, Ihr habt ein klasse Kunstwerk geschaffen, ich hätte es auf den ersten Blick für einen Pinguin im Eisschrank gehalten :-) .... ich nehme mal an, die Amsel kann nicht lesen und hat deswegen die Warnung ignoriert, aber was soll man dazu sagen, im Zweifel für den Angeklagten oder Unwissenheit schützt nicht vor Strafe ?:-) wie auch immer, Deine Geschichte und der doppeldeutige Titel sind hervorragend und ein schöner Schmunzler.

The idea of the sign: Beaks OFF made my evening. Then I can clearly see them lying on your lawn mocking your apparent eccentrities and how easily it is to outwit you:) The image itself reminds me of my son's favourite hero from his childhood - a penguin called Pingu:))

Die Amseln haben Dich oder besser Deinen Hasen bestohlen? Und der Regen hat das Warnschild zur Hälfte weggewaschen? Es gehört sich aber für anständige Amseln, das Schild weiterhin zu achten, auch wenn es jetzt zum Pinguin mutiert ist. Ich liebe solche Bilder. Dieses übersteigt aber meine Fantasie. Ich liebe es trotzdem weil es so abstrakt ist.
