~ Pinghsi Sky Lantern Festival ~

One of the most beautiful celebrations I joined in my life! The Pinghsi Sky Lantern Festival is held once a year just before and till the first full moon of the Chinese year. Pinghsi is with more than 200 rainy days a year the wettest corner of Taiwan and therefore the only place this celebration can take place. It is once a year when thousands getter in Shifen during several days to light on many hundreds of sky lanterns who are carry the wishes of many visitors up to the sky where they shall be heard and come trough.
