My heart beats faster everytime I think back of the day this occured right infront of my nose.
It all started by setting up my blind which I use to conceal myself for the wildlife.
10 minutes after setting up the blind the female Kingfisher flew down onto the branch wich overhangs the water.
About 30 seconds later the male Kingfisher came onto the branch aswell and he had brought a nice meal for his "wife"!
After giving her the fish the female Kingfisher signaled the male that she was ready for mating and WHOOP there they go!
Light circumstances were not great, I had to shoot this picture with the 40D +500mm f/4L at f/5 and ISO 800.
I did my best to get rid of the noise as much as possible.
But fortunatly the picture came out better as I expected!
Well seen and captured just at the right time.
A great "portrait" of these kingfishers where their beauty can be perfectly appreciated.
Congratulations for this shot and Pro!
On top of everything it reminds me of an oil painting my late Dad once did of this bird...

Ein seltener Anblick sehr schön und scharf aufgenommen. Es gehört für mich in die Galerie.
