There was some time in the ancient past, my dear Adele, when attack, expansion, conquering, even imposed colonialism, besides anything else, also meant propagation and sharing of spirit, art, culture and elements of distinct civilization.In an ancient, mostly primitive and savage world that could be considered a benefit in disguise, a sort of Nature's Providence to preserve and perpetuate what is good and beautiful in the course of a harsh and brutal life.
At later and mostly present times conquering only means brutally suppresing, devastating, extinguishing or exploiting in the most inhuman and harassing manner. It means death and genoside...
Superb monochrome really documentary shot of these ancient marvels that still stand where they should to prove that elements of civilization as Art and culture belong not only to a single country but to all of us everywhere...
