Low Tide
at Newcastle Island ...
this island too is a Marine Park with great hiking trails and fantastic views and a history of coal mining and with a former important stone quarry ... it takes between 6 and 8 hours to sail across the Salish Sea from Vancouver to Newcastle Island.

low tide, and suddenly the island is an enchanted place, a patchwork of colors! it's almost as though the sea is generously saluting the land! such lovely mellow country colors, especially those greens which seem to be based on yellow rather than on a tinge of blue! a great comosition once again, adele, with the pretty tree picturesquely arching its way into the shot, embellishing the vista like a curtain! hugs, sabine. p.s.: another marine park that sounds worth visiting!!
