Zur Zeit, als das Foto gemacht wurde, war dies der einzige aktive Hochofen in Galati. Mit einer Kapazität von 1.700 Kubikmeter, etwa 1 Million Tonnen pro Jahr, wurde der Hochofen 3 im Dezember 2011 heiß leer-gelaufen .
