i agree with viola, even though the salt swamp* does make a great b/w subject, with the dark roots of the shrubs exposed to the air and providing a great contrast to the light foliage. if you hadn't told us, though, it's all dried-up and in desperate need of rain, i might very well have mistaken it for an apple orchard in spring – dwarfed trees a windblown area! greetings, sabine. p.s.: wonder what tiptoed its way through the swamp, leaving dainty little tracks in the dried-up mud… mudskippers? nah… ; ))
*i never heard the term before. would a "mangrove swamp" be the same?
A view that is bound to change with time - I can't imagine the trees surviving the salt for any length of time. An excellent black and white image and statement about our changing climate ....
