I think I prefer this one to the other.

Moody ! It seems this second version has more detail. Nice work.
Best regards. Peter

Has a vintage look to it. Perhaps the foreground of the street is a little bit to bright!?
Greetings Kay

You're right, Kay. I had mucked around with the contrast on this one but couldn't quite get all of it to look how I wanted - well, not without it also looking like it had been played around with too much.

How about a polarizer filter, the backgrond looks to burnt out.
Kind regards John. :)

Rob Wells, 18.05.2005 um 23:54 Uhr

Doh !! I deliberately sought out the burnt out background. It just didn't seem that interesting before I played around with it.

As for polarizing filters....if I knew what one was then I would seriously consider it.

John Bennett, 19.05.2005 um 21:50 Uhr

I'm sorry Rob no offence meant. A polarizing filter would satuate colours, cut out unwanted reflections, intensifiey the sky giving you beautiful cloud formations like when cumulus clouds are about. you can adjust the strengh of colour by rotating the outer ring of the filter. Some photographers say it's the only filter they need. it's great for B/W as well. In fact its totally the opposit effect to what you've achieved here. Sorry about that.
Regards John.

Rob Wells, 19.05.2005 um 22:09 Uhr

No need to apologise, John. And at least I know what a polarizing filter does now. Now, who would know if they are available for a Panasonic FZ20 ?

Answers on a postcard please.
