Anlie and I spent a day driving through the Kruger National Park. We got to this waterhole at Lower Sabie and were treated to a feast of wildlife. There were crocodiles, birds and all sorts of wildlife in and around the waterhole. The crocs were just lying, baking in the sun while the rest of the animals and birds walked around them as if nothing ie happening

A good shot and a good tale also :)) Not the prettiest of creatures but it is good to know that they are not always on the hunt.
Very good light and details.

sometimes it's enough to just know the food's within reach: the thought alone fills your stomach and satisfies your soul: in his sleep the giant has already devoured the clueless bird many, many times – as stew, as cordon bleu, chicken wings, mckruger nuggets, finger food… etc. ; )))) – now he's so full that he can't move, so for once the bird is safe! ; )) greetings, sabine.

What a magnificent animal! True, they are dangerous and unpredictable, but quite splendid creatures too just the same. Great shot Deryck, love it.

A good and safe shot from this lovely reptile,
though it's not suitable anymore to make a
handbag out of it.
Best wishes - A.

I know! You were on one of these extreme adventure holidays where you have to survive with nothing but a matchete, sleep in a hammock and live on what you manage to catch?:)) You handled brilliantly - you are not only alive and well but also with a reportage to share with us:)
A fine pic of this monster, my friend. A hug, Viola

I was really surprised visiting Australias jumping crocs. So I have a lot of respect of those animals.
