Never suspected this sort of landscape in Belgium (blame my ignorance for that!). Looks like a great place to escape the obnoxious urban clatter and bustle. As you suggest, you can almost "hear" the silence.
the stillness – a distinct feature of winter! no frogs awake yet, no birds singing, no beetles, no bees, no buzz ; )), and no wind either – nothing but utter silence and calm… can be both lovely and quite enervating depending on one's mood and disposition… for a while i bet it was heavenly! and the landscape of course is a dream! great shot of it again. and the stillness is strongly felt in it! greetings, sabine.
This is a very good shot with a great sharpness and an excellent exposure. I like its colours and mood very much. It´s a beautiful detailed shot too!!

the blue sky reflecting makes a fine contrast with the golden reeds ...the single tree well placed in the frame !

It always amazes me to see so many national parks and wildlife areas in a relative small country like yours which I got to know quite well so many years ago. It’s just wonderful that it still exists on such a large scale. Cheers Renate
