While walking this morning I found this little fella walking on the lawn ....
Took a shot and tried to make a close-up also...
Laying flat on my stomach I noticed that he was wounded on top of his nose...
Maybe attacked by a dog , who knows........
When I grabbed him he rolled up completely to protect him self ...
I managed to lift him up and put in somewhere in the Bushes ( undergrowth) in the hope he would be safer from further attacks .......
Fons, next time take thus a small guy better and bring him in a hedgehog's station. There he is maintained healthy and then is able again back in the nature.

Oh oh, this fellow looks seriously injured ! I rather thinks the bite was made by a badger in stead of a dog.
Let's hope he can survive the coming winter.

Oh the poor little thing, life is difficult when you are small, even if you are covered in prickles.I am glad you managed to scoop him up to relative safety.

great collage, fons! we have hedgehogs in our garden, too. one of them likes the shrubs near the wall of the house, and you can hear him snore like a fully grown man sometimes… hope "yours" has fattened up enough for the winter – should be getting ready for hibernation pretty soon, i think! and i hope he'll recover! greetings, sabine.
