Impressive..... That is what comes to mind when standing close to this giant, the Eland Alpha male. He is huge. He stands about 20cm taller than any of the other Eland in the herd. His authority is unmistakable.

The emotion I felt taking this picture was not fear. It was just awe. As huge as he is, he just looked at me as if to tell me that I should not be scared of him. He has no fear of me.

According to Wikipedia.org
The Eland is considered the largest species of "antelope". Eland Bulls weigh up to 1,000 kg are over 3m in length and stand up to 183 cm at the shoulder. Males have dense fur on their foreheads and a large dewlap.
