Hi Theo, very beautiful close-up with a splendid exposure. But I think your focus is a bit out of the eye region. Today I was biking with a friend and in the polder we see a lot of Herons and my friend always start laughing. Without my camera the Herons sit tight and when I have my camera with me the Herons fly immediately away. In all these years I've never had one decent picture with a Heron
