Kherlen Bar Khot in sunset light

It is the location of some small-scale ruins and a 10m-high tower from a 12th-century city, once part of the ancient state of Kitan. We later could see a picture of the tower in National Museum in Ulaanbaatar.
The Kherlen Bars was a very big town in Qidan period, when in 10th and 11th century Qidans established their state.
Mongolian archaeologists found pieces of monumental sculpture and deities set madey clay.
