I live by the sea in the Australian state of Tasmania, a beautiful temperate island located on the edge of the Great Southern Ocean.

I'm keen to learn and I'd love feedback - please feel free to say what you think. All constructive criticism and helpful advice gratefully accepted - I readily acknowledge I have a long way to go technically and detailed feedback on how I can improve is especially welcome. Ultimately, I hope that my portfolio will over time document some progress.

I'm really glad to hear from another pinhole aficionado! This is a great tool for somebody with the heart of impressionist, I think. For me pinhole is an aura-extractor, it gets the charm and mystery out of simple things. Waiting to see more obscura work of yours!

thank you for your uplifting comments on my pictures. You just made my night. It makes such a difference that this community is turning more and more international.

I am intrigued by your maritime still lives and while I like them just as they are, my experience is, that the better the color, the better the b&w. So I would love to see them worked out as monochrome pieces as well.

hi susi, thanks for visiting my profile and for your comments. there's a lot of work to do on the 'dream' image and you're right, it was completely candid and has been sitting on my hard drive for months! just an afterthought from a horse show i was shooting, so i thought of experimenting with silhouettes. (and then a client actually wanted the color version...my phone bill was late, so i did the color one! ha ha...) the comments make good sense, though. some subjects are meant to be monochrome.
