Thanks for the visit Brad...glad to see ya stop by....and thanks for taking the time to comment on the image....
....I was using the canon 5D with canon EF 180mm "L" macro lens...camera settings, "raw" on mode "P", ISO 200, F6.3, 1/400....
....I also use a 20D canon and a Minolta dimage 7hi....the 5D I use mostly in my photography business, the 20D and Minolta are my travel cameras.....
best wishes, den
I just saw this shot in one of our forums "members talk" OT: Enjoy the silence. Excellent photojournalism shot, and thanks for taking the time to fill in the story. Cheers from Canada. Patrick
Thanks for your comments on the trout fishing picture...it was taken on the Little Red River during the spawning run of the German brown trout. This was a catch and release area where only single, barbless, hooks can be used...makes it very difficult to keep those big ones on long enough to get a picture...I have looked at your pictures, the second page reminded me of a rock group...Guns & Roses...great pictures...I really like "one last cast" and "Minaki Sunset"...you take your photography serious and it shows in your work...best regards, den
Hi Brad. Thanks for your comment on my "to manipulate or not" question. I'm happy to see there are others out there that still believe in capturing what you actually saw thru the lense. I like your work and will keep an eye on it..Cheers..Rob (NZ)
Hi brad,
Thanks for your kind comment. The light in the central part of the picture, is the most famous bridge in Rotterdam( Erasmus-bridge), put in highlights.
Hi Brad Great photo of the new bridge I loved the detail in it,I am new to photography and can always learn something from people such as yourself, many thanks for sharing your work I look forward to seeing more.Regards from Australia......John.
Hi Brad:
I saw your message, glad to see that I can offer any help. Actually I am not either those people who can afford very expensive equipments, mostly I still use my three cameras (two digital, a D70...), about others if I need them, I often try to borrow.
I always, and so far still, think of photographing as a nice recreation, of course I feel happy if any good picture can be produced and acknowledged, if not I don't feel sad about that. Just feel relaxed toward photographing, afterall it is not as important as jobs nor studies...:) Wish you have fun here!
