I am returning to serious photography after a 3-plus decade absence. Back then I wanted to exhibit in art shows, had a few photos in small shows with good response and was doing b&w and color darkroom work. Have forgotten everything I ever knew it seems but am bitten again, not sure how it happend. I am a writer in between projects and I think my creative yearnings reached out for something to fill the breach until the words started flowing again. Now I plan to write a blog and post photos, before my novel picks up again, which will take front and center. However, after learning a bit about my Panasonic FZ20 have gotten a few good images which have sparked my excitement for visual expression. I am so grateful I found this site because the photos inspire me and Paul and Chip in particular have been so helpful.

Note: Thanks to the helpful advice I've found here, I've traded in the Panasonic for a Canon Rebel XT (350d) and as predicted, I'm in love with it.
