Thanks for the comment, Elaine. I also think that no showing the bonfire, the pic has something more of interest. On the other hand, -do'nt tell it to anybody- but the bonfire was to much burned (as a pile of wood, of course, but also as a photograph :-) )

Elaine. So sorry to bother you once again with critical comments. I still do not have full membership status in spit of payment being made three times, perhaps only once successfully though Paypal. The other provider did not acknowledge payment where Paypal did. But it seems to be uncleared in the Paypal account. There is something very amiss with the fotcommunity system. I have spoken with others who have had similar problems. I have got involved with this site but am dismayed by the trouble I have had with membership.

It really doen´t fit into the nude section, I know. But like with all my troglodite series, I didn´t want to risk it being removed by you guys because of too much skin ;-))
The decision on a section was even harder on the .de site, where there isn´t a section outdoor to be found - or maybe I just haven´t found it - they´ve made the creation of sections under the theme AKT there to a scientific project.

Hallo Elaine.

Guten Morgen nach Bonn. Ja Du hast Vollkommen recht wenn Du sagst das Zigaretten Abfall sind. Leider habe ich schon mit 12 Jahren angefangen zu Qualmen. Ich habe dieses Photo gemacht wegen den schönen Rauch der in der Sonne wahnsinnige schöne Figuren malte. Wenn ich jetzt am 30.04.05 in das Flugzeug nach Kanada fliege muss ich wegen mir selber, und meinem Geld das Rauchen aufgeben. Ich fürchte sehr das es ein harter Kampf wird. Aber ich Denke das mich die Ruhe und die schöne Natur beim Wandern ablenken wird von den Kippen. Hier im Dauerstress kann ich es einfach nicht schaffen es zu lassen.

Einen schönen Sonntag noch.

Thankyou for your kind words of welcome..I've allready spent hours browsing and have found myself going back to MY PICS and trying different ideas.Allthough i'm not a big fan of altering my pics i have found that it can be fun ,i never remove anything from my pics but do add sometimes. I am actually a little awed by the work on this site and i can see that i can greatly benefit by it .......just me , jimmy

Actually the reason for planting the trees is quite simple 1/ often the trees are planted alongside a road, which is the case in my photograph, and because our country is so flat, many roads are straight, this especially goes for the so called polder areas, the reason for planting these trees alongside the roads was protection against the always blowing wind.
2/ in Flevoland the area where i live all forrest is mechanically planted partly as production-forrest. Only after some 25-30 years they start to harvest some trees and with other trees being blown over by storms or dying due to illness now you can slowly see a change in these forrests where they start to look more natural. hope this somewhat clearifies

Hi Elaine, yes and i found that because of the far better control over the end result i have been able to improve on my results enormously. In the past I made mostly B&W, slides and the small amount of colour negatives never gave me the results i now get by having far better control.

Your work is great on several levels:
From impressionist poetry in "Autumn in Bonn", via a sharp eye and technical now-how to make seemingly trivial events to important moments, like in "that way Mom!" to finaly being able to question yourself like in
"You've got to shake your fists". That's the way enabling us to reach higher and higher.....!

Yes they love the Lake (Sabago Lake Maine). I couldn't keep them out of the water. The picture was taken in July so it was a lot warmer.

thanks for your comments. I never saw a anemone this color before. I used a Canon Powershot S50 Camera with a Sea&Sea YS60/TTL Strobe. Without a Flash you would not have seen any colors in this depth.

Dir leider nicht geben. Mein Motto: Probieren geht
über Studieren!
Zur Beleuchtung kann ich nur sagen, daß Tageslicht
nahe des Fensters die besten Ergebnisse bringt.
Vielleicht kannst Du auch eine Holzplatte, mit
verschiedenen Folien beklebt, als Hintergrund benutzen.
Viel Spaß beim Probieren.

Thanks for your comment to Texas! El Paso is a lot different to San Antonio, its the "middle of nowhere" in the northern part of Chihuahua Desert and often Texans won´t count El Paso to their country but more to Mexico!
However, I like this dry place with plenty of sun and warm climate as much as my wet and cloudy northern part of Germany!
